Not sure what shoes or handbags you should add to your cart? Well, I visited Neiman Marcus Boston to share my favorite on trend picks for fall with you!
Linen season is finally here in New England, and the girls are ready to get their coastal chic style on! I love linen outfits and recently discovered a new brand, Grae Cove, that specializes in quality, sustainable linen pieces.
I’ve styled them here with The Boyfriend 100% Linen Dress Shirt, but they’d go great with a cozy knit. I’m looking forward to styling them over and over again. With a cozy knit, or with a cute tank top… You name it and you’ll probably be seeing me wearing it with these pants!
Additionally, I’m partnering with Grae Cove to share an exclusive discount code! Use my code bethany20 for 20% discount.
Which of these two linen outfits are you buying with my discount code?
Like any other fashion trend handbag trends will for sure come and go. I often reach for bags that are more functional and practical, over the latest most popular ones. That said, belt bags (or fanny packs) are now back in a big way!
There’s a reason you see this bag on everyone from celebrities to street style fashionistas, and why it sells out so quickly after it’s back in stock. If you’re looking for a designer everyday handbag, I can’t recommend the Louis Vuitton Monogram Bumbag enough! Shop it secondhand via Fashionphile.
I almost hate how much everyone everywhere loves this bag. But I cant, because I absolutely get it. The Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag is the perfect on the go bag for when all you really need are the basic essentials.
This is another belt bag on my radar thanks to Instagram. I use the Calpak packing cubes when I travel and their Luka Belt Bag looks perfect to add to my travel essentials.
The Dagne Dover Ace Fanny is my favorite of these belt bags picks for the minimalist. It comes in 6 different core colors, and has enough pockets to stay organized.
Are you here for the return of the fanny pack trend? Which belt bag best suits you? Let me know in the comments!
Viva Magenta is the official Pantone 2023 Color of the Year. It is slightly deeper than the pink that’s had a chokehold on the fashion world.
While pink is a color that I am trying to wear more of, the Barbicore/Valentino pink shade isn’t the most on brand for me. This magenta though, is speaking to me on a deep and spiritual level.
Color hasn’t always been my thing, I’m definitely more of a neutral, all black kind of girl. However, bright colors have been calling out to me, and giving Viva Magenta a try felt like the right move. This Zara dress was not only on sale, but the absolute perfect shade of pink for this soon to be takeover trend.
This year, one of my goals is to shop my closet more. This Free People dress, that is really more of a tunic and can be worn as a shirt jacket, is a personal favorite of mine. If you’ve ever watched Schitt’s Creek, then I don’t need to tell you that it totally gives Alexis Rose vibes.
Here are some magenta pieces that I would immediately add to cart!
It should come as no surprise to learn that I love matching sets. I am all about versatility. Pieces that are easy to wear multiple ways? Too perfect!
As Is
The easiest outfit ever, is to wear a matching set as it is. If I’m not sure what to wear, I know that outside of a jumpsuit, a matching set is my safest bet. This Free People set is currently trending—
The other set I reach for often is this Cynthia Rowley set—
Switch The Top Out
Regardless of the type of set, I’m a huge fan of swapping out the top for a bodysuit. Skirts, pants, you name it, I style it with a bodysuit. And if not a bodysuit, it’s usually a basic or graphic tee, but you have options. Tons of them!
Wear It With Different Bottoms
As for the bottoms, I’m not opposed to switching those out as well. Jeans are typically my go to for this, but again there are tons of options.
Add Something To It
Given that I life in New England and the weather here is usually cold, I often add layers to my matching sets. Typically a jacket, be it denim or otherwise that I can easily fit under a coat in the winter, or take off in the summer.
If you don’t know what to wear, you can always follow me on Instagram, or go with a matching set. I also love one styled with a puffer vest!
Dressing for unseasonal or transition weather can be tricky. There are several jackets and vests that I own that make spring outerwear a breeze.
Here are the five that I find to be the best, I’m not exactly sure what to wear—
Puffer Vest
Puffer vests are my favorite for the hard to dress for seasons. This is in part due to the fact that as warm as they don’t have sleeves, making them the perfect for layering. Alternatively, if it’s cooler, puffer jackets work as well.
Trench Coat
Trench coats aren’t exactly my go-to, however, they do make the perfect spring outerwear piece. This is especially so, if you’re in an office or professional setting at all. And I’d be lying to myself if I said they weren’t the epitome of chic.
Shacket
It doesn’t matter what you call them, shirt jackets will never not be practical. I grab my favorite one for running errands and going to the movies, over everything. If you’re going for casual or cool, this is the spring jacket you want.
Coatigan
I love my coatigan, it’s a cardigan that’s thick enough to wear when a coat would be otherwise too heavy. This is something that I’ve had for years, and when my dog ruined the first one I owned, I immediately replaced it, because that’s how good it is to have. Honestly even though it’s recommended for fall, I love it year round.
Aviator Jacket
The newest addition to my cold weather outerwear collection is a cropped aviator jacket. I wanted something stylish and trendy that was also a classic piece that could withstand the test of time and this foot the bill in the best possible way! You can fully expect to see it on my throughout the winter and well into the spring.
Sharing my Free People favorites because no matter what fashion trends come and go, my personal style will always be just a little bit boho. And seeing as how Free People was my best selling brand of 2022, I’d say you probably have some of their pieces that you love as well!
Long Ruby
My Long Ruby shirt jacket is one of the things I reach for most, especially during those tricky transitional months. It’s hard to come by now, but I did find it here and there’s a shorter version as well.
Skyline Midi Skirt
I’m guilty of buying the same thing in multiple colors. The Skyline Midi Skirt is probably the one thing I own in not two, not three, but four different colors! And to be completely honest, I might even get one or two more.
Tapered Baggy Boyfriend
Jeans are my jam, so naturally, I had to include one pair of We the Free jeans and finding this pair on sale and under $100 is just too good not to share!
Ottoman Slouchy Tunic
My favorite piece by far, is the Ottoman Slouchy Tunic. It’s so versatile! I’ve worn it with jeans, leggings, skirts, you name it. It can even be worn as a dress with over-the-knee boots!
Lennox Jumpsuit
Who doesn’t love a compliment? I have yet to wear the Lennox Jumpsuit and not receive several polite comments or requests for where I got it.
Don’t be at all surprised if there’s a part two to this post! What are some of your favorites from Free People?
In addition to my Free People favorites, I recently added some new pieces to my closet that I’m looking forward to styling and sharing with you over the next few weeks or so. I’ve also included a few that are on my running wishlist, you can shop them and this post here—
This past year was a pretty big year for me, especially when it came to affiliate sales. Here are some of my best selling looks of 2022—
Long Puffer Coat
Since one of my top looks from 2021 included a Nordstrom Made long bomber jacket, I’m not at all surprised about the love that this Treasure & Bond long puffer coat got. I’m even less surprised about how quickly it sold out. I found some similar puffer coats that are equally as stylish and plenty warm enough to get you through the cold winter months and right up until spring!
High Waisted Jeans
Both a blessing and a curse, in 2022 I had a post go viral. While clearly I love them, it turns out, people either really love or really love to hate criss cross high waisted jeans. Regardless, high waisted jeans in general were an absolute hit! Here are my exact Agolde Criss Cross Upsized Jeans that I purchased from Revolve, along with some others pairs that are sure to flatter.
Skinny Jeans
I don’t care what anyone says, there will always be skinny jeans in my wardrobe. Period. Fight me. But seriously, other than jeggings, what else am I going to wear with my over-the-knee boots?
My personal favorite brand for skinny jeans is Madewell, I know I’m biased since I used to work there, but you can find them at Nordstrom and are too perfect to buy during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.
Crop Top
Ok, now hear me out, you can love your body and not want to bare it. That’s totally fine! But as for me, I’m going to show some skin. Just a little bit. I will never not love a crop top styled with a high waisted pair of jeans. Here are some of my favorite crop tops to wear.
Knit Sweater Dress
As much as I prefer to wear jeans, I’ve leaned into the effortlessness of an easy knit dress. My two most worn are both sold out, but here are some other great ones!
Which of these best selling looks are you the most excited to wear in this new year?
I recently had the pleasure of joining Neiman Marcus Boston for their annual influencer holiday party. We shopped, sipped, and celebrated with a white elephant gift exchange! Here were some of the most coveted white elephant gifts—
