In case you don’t live in New England, just let me tell you it gets cold! Like, frigid. The temperature can go from 60 degrees one day, to 20 (or less) the next.

These sudden drops are the worst!

To combat the cold weather, I’m a big fan of bundling up. Layers on layers on layers on layers. Think thick cozy sweaters, long sleeved bodysuits, and boot socks. Mostly because I’m a big baby when it comes to being cold.

And so is my skin. Trying Clarins Hydra-Essentiel serum and moisturizer has helped keep my skin moisturized in spite of how quickly the temperature and weather changes. So much so, that it stays hydrated all day.

So many people are surprised when they find out my age, and comment on my skin and how young it is. That is not case in the winter time. Well, at least, not before discovering Clarins Hydra-Essentiel products. So now, my skin can be quenched and radiant year-round!

Styled by 5 featuring Cents of Style

Never trust a groundhog. Despite his prediction for an early spring, New England has been getting hammered with snowstorms. Thankfully, this month’s Styled by 5 happens to be very weather appropriate.

Each month myself and four other boss blogger babes have been styling the same piece of clothing and since we all look and think differently from each other (hair, religion, location, skin, size, height, style…all of the above), you’ll get five totally different looks. That means you’ll get to see what I style, on other body types so you can find something that is best for you!

This month we’re styling a Cents of Style jacket AND a hat and scarf set, also from Cents of Style. Don’t forget to check out how Deidre, Kaylynn, Jacque, and Alexis of The Denovo Design, styled these items too!

What’s great about the jacket is that it can be worn in the spring and fall, and in the winter it’s ideal for when you’re wearing layers. Plus it has a hood. As for the hat and scarf set, I especially love the furry pom pom on the hat!

Call me crazy, but I am such a sucker for Valentine’s Day!

While I may not be the mushy type, that doesn’t mean that I don’t value love. Speaking of love, today my sister and I are going to an event all about celebrating self-love.

In kind of honor of said event, I’m sharing two Valentine’s Day inspired looks featuring the perfect red winter hat that I found on clearance at Target, after almost giving up hope!

My Winter Skincare Routine

Disclaimer: This blog post contains affiliate links.

Even though my little nook of New England hasn’t seen any snow stick, and it’s still technically fall, the air has been brisk. And my skin has been dry. Really dry.

So dry, that I’ve had to make a few alterations.

Hartford Has It + So Do I

Being back in Connecticut, although not my ultimate goal, has presented some pretty great opportunities for me. And not just getting to go to ULTA!

For starters, having grown up, and attended college here, I get to see family and friends from school more often.

After going away and exploring Vermont, I now have a whole new appreciation for the cities in CT.

Yes, even in the freezing rain.

And in heels.

I guess the Vermonter in me is now used to it…

Growning up, Hartford was always just kind of there…
But walking around downtown, I got see what it has to offer. Hartford has it!

Certainly worth checking out.

And as for my outfit, yeah, it’s pretty casual…I’m all about jeans and a t-shirt.

You will probably be seeing this coat A LOT. I love everything about it. It’s warm and cozy, really bright so it stands out, and is just beyond chic!

My clutch was a find on Poshmark, and one side says ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA.

Yes, Hartford is.

xx Bet
