Free People Favorites

Sharing my Free People favorites because no matter what fashion trends come and go, my personal style will always be just a little bit boho. And seeing as how Free People was my best selling brand of 2022, I’d say you probably have some of their pieces that you love as well!

Long Ruby

My Long Ruby shirt jacket is one of the things I reach for most, especially during those tricky transitional months. It’s hard to come by now, but I did find it here and there’s a shorter version as well.

Skyline Midi Skirt

I’m guilty of buying the same thing in multiple colors. The Skyline Midi Skirt is probably the one thing I own in not two, not three, but four different colors! And to be completely honest, I might even get one or two more.

Tapered Baggy Boyfriend

Jeans are my jam, so naturally, I had to include one pair of We the Free jeans and finding this pair on sale and under $100 is just too good not to share!

Ottoman Slouchy Tunic

My favorite piece by far, is the Ottoman Slouchy Tunic. It’s so versatile! I’ve worn it with jeans, leggings, skirts, you name it. It can even be worn as a dress with over-the-knee boots!

Lennox Jumpsuit

Who doesn’t love a compliment? I have yet to wear the Lennox Jumpsuit and not receive several polite comments or requests for where I got it.

Don’t be at all surprised if there’s a part two to this post! What are some of your favorites from Free People?

In addition to my Free People favorites, I recently added some new pieces to my closet that I’m looking forward to styling and sharing with you over the next few weeks or so. I’ve also included a few that are on my running wishlist, you can shop them and this post here

Trend to Try: Neon

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.

Most of my wardrobe consists of neutral colors.

Mainly black.

It took me quite a while to give the neon trend a try, but new year, new trend. Right?

During the post-holiday sales, I ordered two neon sweaters.

While I wasn’t sure how I would like either one of them on me, I ended up liking them both. Especially with light washed jeans.

I’m not exactly going out and swapping everything I own for neon. But, I am going to try and be more open to trying more new trends.

There are some trends from the past year that I already happened to own. Animal print, the oversized blazer, and coveralls…

All of which you can expect to see plenty of on Twenty Something Plus throughout 2020.

What was your favorite 2019 trend?

Something About Sézane

Simone Sweater Sezane Simone Sezane Russel Russel Sweater

While I would trade fall fashion for summer weather in a heartbeat, I can’t help but find myself grateful for sweater weather. Especially after discovering the French brand Sézane.

My first of their sweaters was from the Madewell x Sézane collaboration. What I loved most about it was the back details. And the fact that it could be worn backwards for a completely different look.

After seeing other digital fashionistas in Sézane pieces, it was impossible to not fall even deeper in love!

Courtney Halverson (of Pretty Little Fawn) inspired me to get the Simone sweater and Frédérique Harrel (of Freddie Harrel) made me want the Timothée.

These outfits feature two of latest sweater purchases. Even though I styled both of these looks with jeans, knitwear goes equally as great with a skirts, which is how I’ve been wearing them to work.

Which of these sweaters is your favorite and how would you wear it?

In case you don’t live in New England, just let me tell you it gets cold! Like, frigid. The temperature can go from 60 degrees one day, to 20 (or less) the next.

These sudden drops are the worst!

To combat the cold weather, I’m a big fan of bundling up. Layers on layers on layers on layers. Think thick cozy sweaters, long sleeved bodysuits, and boot socks. Mostly because I’m a big baby when it comes to being cold.

And so is my skin. Trying Clarins Hydra-Essentiel serum and moisturizer has helped keep my skin moisturized in spite of how quickly the temperature and weather changes. So much so, that it stays hydrated all day.

So many people are surprised when they find out my age, and comment on my skin and how young it is. That is not case in the winter time. Well, at least, not before discovering Clarins Hydra-Essentiel products. So now, my skin can be quenched and radiant year-round!

Styled by 5 featuring & Apparel

Last month, myself and four other boss blogger babes teamed up for the first ever Styled by 5.

Each month the five of us will style the same piece of clothing and since we all look and think differently from each other (hair, religion, location, skin, size, height, style…all of the above), you’ll get five totally different looks. That means you’ll get to see what I style, on other body types so you can find something that is best for you!

Don’t forget to check out how Deidre, Kaylynn, Jacque, and Sarah styled this Varsity V-Neck from & Apparel too.

And make sure to lookout for something styled by the five of us every month!

This top is one that I will be wearing over and over and over and over (you get the point) again.

That being said, I wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted to style it, but opted to pair it with leather shorts from Zara.

To keep it casual? Chucks.

& Apparel Outfit

Even though I’m not exactly thrilled that summer is “unofficially” over, this outfit is the perfect way for me to start (slowly) transitioning my look for the fall.

That and ice cream.

Ice cream helps.

And, because I know you’re all wondering, my adorbs necklace (which is adjustable) is from Conflicted Pixie.

If you buy one, tell them Bethany sent you. You won’t get anything, but how cool did that sound?

Don’t forget there’ll be another Styled by 5 next month!
